Final

Although I had prior experience in the Unreal Engine and the creation of game assets and levels, it was my first time doing a VR project, on top of that it had to include a narrative, which I also did not have a chance to do before in the interactive medium.

The pipeline for most of the assets was:

Basic modeling in Autodesk Maya -> Zbrush Hi-Poly modeling and Decimation -> UV in Maya -> Texture creation in Substance Designer

Extra software used included Photoshop and Marvelous Designer. The project is running on Unreal Engine 4 and SteamVR.

Extra learning resources on VR development included tutorials by Pluralsight, Lynda, Unreal Marketplace for props and various authors on Youtube.

What could be improved:

1) Animation of the characters.
2) Introduction of more polished ambient sound and music.
3) More functional elements such as keypad, for example.
4) Non-VR mode.
5) Polish assets.
6) Iron out visual glitches.
